TURKEY SEASON
2010
Your host
This Jake came to my decoys.
He made a few clucks as he walked in
to my Remington # 5 shot.
BJ Holliday
BJ and I set up our decoys at the
edge of a pasture at daybreak. After about
thirty minutes of BJ's calling and hearing
toms gobbling, we saw a one fly off of the
roost into the pasture. Not long after, while
Bj did some soft calling, three jakes came
in to the decoys. BJ shot and ran to retrive
his bird and found that he had shot two
jakes with one shot. The jakes weighed
13 lbs each, with 5 inch beards. I tried to
catch the hunt on video but the setup
had obstacles in the way. The hunt
was still a success. We both
had a great time in the turkey
woods. Congratulations
on your hunt, BJ!
BJ & Bryson Holliday
BJ took his son Bryson hunting on our hunt club
on Sat. 17th. BJ said he made a call and heard a gobble.
He and Bryson set up quick at an oak tree. The jake came
in strutting and gobblin 15 yards infront of him and Bryson.
This was Bryson frist real turkey hunt. BJ said they had
an awsome hunt. The jake weighed 15 lbs with a 6 inch
beard. Thanks for the photo and Congratulations
on You and your sons hunt!

I went hunting on our hunt club on Mon. 19th. I
got a late start due to just working two 12 hour shifts.
I set up my hen decoy on a small food plot around 7:30
AM. I started making some purrs and yelps on my glass
call when I saw three white and red heads moving toward
the decoy. I thought I had cut on my video camera, I guess
in all the excitement I tunred it off. I shot the first bird
hoping to catch the hunt on film. It was still a good
hunt. The jake weighed 15 lbs with a 6 inch
beard.
