FOOD PLOTS
We plowed this area where there once was a
blackberry patch. We found that the soil was
fertile enough without having to do anything
but plant the seeds and watch them grow.
We then planted cow peas and after
the first month we took this picture.
The picture of the above food plot
was taken in March, 2001. We reseeded
the plot in sept. with clover & grains.
Redtop clover.
The clover in the above picture
was taken from this food plot.
BOTTOM LAND PLOT
Planted with iron-clay peas, this plot
is near a creek with a good source
of water for irrigation.
Planting small well placed food plots
will encourage deer to stay in an area.
As you can see we planted wheat
& oats in this food plot. What you
can't see is the red-top clover which
has reseeded itself for the last three years.
